Good Deeds Day 2025 Strategy Plan




Introduction

Doing Good Ambassador's Strategic Plan 2025 focuses on uniting individuals and organizations to foster community resilience, encourage volunteerism, and implement impactful projects. The 2025 strategy is designed to drive social transformation through sustainable initiatives such as the Doing Good Food Bank for Community Self Financing and Resilience, aligning with the goals of Good Deeds Day, Mbolo Association, and The Internet Village Gambia Limited.

  • Strengthen partnerships among organizations to maximize community impact.

3. Expected Outcomes

  1. Food Bank for Community Financing and Resilience:

    • Establish a sustainable food bank providing resources to at least 10 families and community students.

    • Empower communities through financial literacy training, programs linked to the food bank initiative.

  2. Volunteer Impact:

    • Mobilize 100 volunteers across partner organizations for various GDD activities.

  3. Enhanced Community Awareness:

    • Achieve 10% increase in participation and community engagement through outreach campaigns.

  • Mbolo Association: Renewable Energy, Community development expertise and program implementation.

  • Internet Village: Digital outreach, financial literacy training, and crowdfunding tools.

  • Fandema Women Skills Development Center: Skills training and event coordination.

6. Increasing Awareness

Key Strategies:

  1. Print and Digital Media: Collaborate with local newspapers and radio stations for announcements.

  2. Social Media: Create dedicated hashtags (#GDD2025 #GoodDeedsDay #DoingGood) and launch targeted campaigns.

  3. Press Releases: Distribute through trusted outlets and schedule interviews highlighting key committee members and goals.

  4. Timeline: Start awareness campaigns by March 2025, peaking two weeks before GDD.

7. Event Details April 6 2025

Estimated Agenda:

  • 9:00 AM: Registration, Breakfast, Opening ceremony and keynote speeches by partners.

  • 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Volunteer activities (community clean-up, tree planting).

  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Workshops (Food Bank Security, Financial Literacy, Volunteerism).

  • 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch, Drinks, Networking session and project showcase.

  • 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Closing ceremony and distribution of volunteer certificates.

8. Funding Sources

  • Grants and Donations: We shall seek funding and partnership through organizations like UNDP, KMC, BAC, NGO, local businesses, Students, and Good Deeds Day International.

  • Crowdfunding Platforms: Partner with Internet Village to launch an online donation campaign.

  • Community Contributions: Encourage local participation through in-kind donations and sponsorships.

By leveraging the strengths of Mbolo Association, Internet Village, and other stakeholders, this initiative will create lasting impacts and set a benchmark for future Good Deeds Day activities in The Gambia.
